Welsh organisations are now facing more cyberattacks than ever, with most incidents starting in the everyday tools we all rely on: email, Microsoft 365, remote access and cloud accounts. As a Welsh MSP with a Cyber-First focus, PiSYS is committed to helping organisations across Wales understand these risks and take practical steps to protect themselves.

This six-part webinar series has been designed for organisations of all sizes across Wales, including businesses, charities, education providers and public-sector teams. Each session tackles a different real-world threat, from phishing and ransomware to AI-powered scams and password reuse, using plain language, real examples and practical, budget-friendly advice you can act on immediately.

Our goal is simple: to help Welsh organisations stay resilient, confident and operational in a time when one incident can disrupt everything. Cyber security isn’t just a technical issue; it’s a business continuity issue, an economic issue and increasingly, a community responsibility.

PiSYS supports organisations across Wales with cyber security, IT support, secure cloud solutions, data protection, backup management, Microsoft 365 security and hands-on training. By offering these free webinars, we want to do our part in strengthening Wales’ cyber resilience, giving business owners, leaders, managers and teams the knowledge to spot risks early and respond effectively.

Whether you join one session or all six, you’ll leave with clear steps to reduce your exposure, improve staff awareness and put practical safeguards in place that make your organisation harder to breach.

Together, we can keep Wales safer, more resilient and ready for the future.

April: “Ransomware and downtime: what a real incident feels like”

Book Now: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/1f6ac94e-aa9a-4eaa-8015-c9e23ba26b82@fc85f9e3-2b99-4999-9afa-9341ff97d5c1

Ransomware continues to cause enormous financial and operational damage worldwide, with global losses exceeding $800M in 2024. For many small businesses, even a single serious cyber incident can become existential, especially when downtime affects phones, payroll, customer access, deliveries and day-to-day operations. Most SMEs report they can only tolerate limited disruption before the impact becomes critical.

In this plain-English 20-minute walkthrough, we take you through “day one of ransomware” from a business perspective. You’ll see what actually happens when systems lock up, accounts are inaccessible and staff can’t work. We focus on the human and operational reality: communication breakdown, customer concerns, reputation damage and the pressure to recover quickly.

We then explore the practical safeguards that significantly reduce the impact of an attack: 3-2-1 backup strategies, Microsoft 365 and endpoint backup options and the importance of regular restore testing so your recovery plan works when you need it most.

PiSYS will outline how we support Welsh SMEs with backup management, recovery time objectives and clear escalation paths so you know who to call, what to do and how to restore your business even at 3am.

May 28th @11:30: “Working safely from anywhere (home, office, and travel)”

Book Now: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/0b4ca519-b44b-48a5-9631-1f83fe13a81e@fc85f9e3-2b99-4999-9afa-9341ff97d5c1

Hybrid working has become the norm for many Welsh SMEs, but it has also opened new pathways for cyberattacks. Around 43% of SMBs experienced at least one cyber incident last year, with many breaches linked to remote users or cloud accounts. Despite this, less than half of very small businesses have a formal security plan—even though tools like Microsoft 365 underpin most of their daily operations.

In this practical 20-minute session, we focus on simple, effective behaviours that keep hybrid workers safe across home, office and travel environments. You’ll learn easy-to-apply habits that instantly reduce risk: keeping devices updated, locking screens, avoiding sensitive work on open Wi-Fi, and separating personal and work accounts.

We also highlight two of the most common (and overlooked) causes of data leaks: mis-shared OneDrive or SharePoint links and oversharing inside Teams channels. These internal slip-ups can expose data just as severely as an external cyberattack.

PiSYS will show how device management, conditional access, and remote wipe capabilities can give businesses confidence and control—allowing teams to work flexibly while keeping organisational data secure wherever they go.

June 25th @11:30: “Training, AI-powered attacks, and why people are still the strongest defence”

Book Now: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/bd7904f7-4a2d-49dd-923f-95af38b01332@fc85f9e3-2b99-4999-9afa-9341ff97d5c1

Security awareness training has a proven impact, with effective programmes reducing phishing click-rates from around 30% to low single digits over time. Yet many SMEs still rely on informal, untrained staff or ad-hoc advice, even as attackers adopt AI-driven tactics that make scams more convincing than ever.

In this focused 20-minute session, we explore how AI is transforming cybercrime—enabling attackers to generate flawless emails, fake trusted voices, and craft tailored lures at scale. Traditional indicators like spelling errors or poor grammar are disappearing, making human instincts more important, not less.

You’ll learn how structured training and regular phishing simulations build confident, capable teams who can spot manipulation early and act as an internal safety net. Rather than being the weakest link, staff become a powerful early-warning system.

PiSYS will outline how we support Welsh businesses with practical training, simulated attacks and ongoing awareness programmes that strengthen everyday defences—helping your people stay sharp, secure and ready in an era of fast-evolving threats.
