Developing the Network to Deliver Excellence in Vocational Skills

Datblygu'r Rhwydwaith i Gyflawni Rhagoriaeth mewn Sgiliau Galwedigaethol

NTfW is a membership organisation of over 100 organisations involved in the delivery of learning in the workplace. It is a Wales wide representative body for all those organisations or individuals involved in the training industry. Members range from small specialist training providers to national and international organisations, as well as Local Authorities, Further Education Institutions and Charities.

Members work across Wales in rural, urban, bi-lingual and Welsh medium settings. The members have links with over 35,000 employers across Wales ranging from small enterprises through medium sized companies to large multi-nationals and public sector organisations.

The NTfW represents the interests of Training Providers and Learners to inform them about all aspects of the education and training agenda in Wales. The NTFW has strong links and a good working relationship with all key stakeholders in the sector, including the Welsh Government.

The Federation maintains close working links with the Welsh Government at Ministerial level, the Department of Education and Skills, Careers Wales, Jobcentre Plus, CBI, Members of Parliament, Welsh Assembly Members, Sector Skills Councils and Local Authorities.

Members share good practice and physical resources, premises and the like.

The NTfW is led by an elected National Board chosen from member organisations which, in turn, are supported by a structure of Regional Boards covering South, South East, Mid/West and North Wales reflecting DfES operating areas.
