14-16 Leadership Conferences
Overview
Cost: Free
The 14-16 Leadership Conferences are intended to provide support for school leaders in understanding 14-16 learning within the context of the 3-16 Curriculum for Wales, and its significance in supporting all learners in making effective transitions to post-16.
The events will be led and facilitated by Welsh Government and will allow opportunities for discussion around, for example:
- Self-evaluation and improvement (including the use of data, information and evidence)
- Pedagogy (including curriculum, progression and assessment, learner effectiveness and dealing with barriers to learning)
- Curriculum and timetabling (including a consideration of curriculum time and resources, and the balance of NEA/examination across the suite of qualifications)
The events are open to all senior leaders of secondary schools, all age schools, special schools and PRUs in Wales and is intended to run from 09.00-13.00 with some opportunity for networking in the afternoon.

Privacy Notice
Welsh Government (‘we’) will be the data controller for the personal data you provide to participate in this event and will process it in the exercise of our public task and the official authority vested in us for the administration of the event. We will retain your personal data for 3 months following the end of the event, after which time it will be securely deleted.
In order to send you information about the event we will gather personal details including name, email address, job role, language preference, school/setting/organisation name, school/setting/organisation address, telephone number and Local Authority. We will also gather information relating to specific access, dietary and/or other requirements to ensure any additional requirements are met during the event.
In the interests of networking during the event, your name will be shared with other registered attendees. If you would prefer us not to do this, please let us know through contacting dysgu.14-16.learning@gov.wales
Under the data protection legislation, you have the right:
• to access the personal data the Welsh Government holds on you;
• to require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data
