Start your business journey with the 5-9 CLUB!

This fully funded eight-week virtual course is hosted on Google Meet and will give you the support, guidance and tools you need to take those next steps and launch your business.

Whether you have an idea and you’re ready to progress, or you’re not sure what you want to do, we’ll take you through everything from idea generation to marketing and building a website.

SESSION 1

For this first session, you’ll be meeting your cohort, who will become your support network by the end of this eight-week course. You’ll be learning about entrepreneurial mindset and how people generate their business ideas, as well as what business support is available to you.

SESSION 2

In this session, you’ll be finding out about what makes a good logo, the elements that make up your brand’s identity and to make sure you communicate your business values to your customers and stakeholders well.

As well as brand design, we’ll also show you how to develop a marketing strategy and grow a following around your brand.

SESSION 3

Session three is all about exploring different social media platforms and which ones could benefit your business. You’ll also learn about building a website on a budget and the importance of domain names, hosting, SEO and plugins.

SESSION 4

Many new business owners forget about their finances in the very beginning of their startup journeys and find themselves in a muddle further down the line. In this session you’ll be introduced to bookkeeping, forecasting, budgeting and business banking

to make sure you handle your finances confidently from the start.

SESSION 5

Business owners juggle many “hats” on a day-to-day basis. So, it’s really important to be as organised as possible! In this workshop you will learn about strategies and applications, to keep you on top of things.

SESSION 6

Learn about the legal things you need to know about right now. What does copyright mean? What is IP? What business legal structure should I choose? In this session you will learn how to set up your business legally, and how to protect your business. You’ll also

have the opportunity to ask a lawyer any specific questions you may have.

SESSION 7

This session will walk you through the main building blocks of any business model, to pull together all the elements covered across the 5 to 9 Club course, and to help you to visualise your business.

SESSION 8

It’s the end of the course! We’ll show you what your next steps are, what options are available and how to access them! Whether you’re thinking of starting a business, or joining one, we can help.
