What are they?

An innovation surgery is a confidential consultation between a business and a panel comprised of members of the Public Sector Business Innovation Support Community in Wales. The purpose of the surgeries is to assist firms with accessing funding, improving R&D projects and commercialising their results. These consultations are 45 minutes long, and have time allotted to receive feedback from the panel.

Why attend?

Innovation Surgeries provide the opportunity to access a wealth of business advice and expertise from established members of the Business Innovation Support Community tailored to your business. In particular, panel members can offers insights about which funding options are best suited to your business, and who best to approach. Feedback from those who have previously attended highlight how they have:-

  • benefited from networking opportunities stemming from the surgery
  • been given  the chance to sanity check their business proposals
  • gained an increased awareness about different business opportunities
  • accessed tailored support.
