Food Security Workshop: Food Defence

Food defence is the practice of protecting food products from deliberate contamination or adulteration that’s intended to cause harm or economic gain. Its benefits include protection of public health, ensuring consumer confidence, and safeguarding the reputation and financial stability of food businesses.

The workshop covers the following:

  • What is food defence?
  • How to prepare your food defence plan
  • How to understand what your threats are and who the perpetrators could be.
  • Food crime
  • Sources of information
  • Ongoing review and maintenance of your plan.
  • Training requirements for staff

These interactive workshops will be held at ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre in Cardiff.

Whilst these workshops form a series, you can attend individual workshops to suit your business needs.
