Getting the most of silage at lambing - planning and monitoring starts now

Cost: Free

Join one of Farming Connect's Our Farms to learn how both monitoring ewes pre lambing and providing a diet based on facts has resulted in better utilisation of silage and reduction in reliance on bought in concentrate feed for the flock of 365 ewes at Dylasau.

Beca Glyn, wanted to make better use of the silage produced on-farm and will share her experience on how testing the silage and monitoring the flock pre-lambing has improved her understanding of the flock performance pre and post lambing. Beca will also share the targets she has now set for next year's lambing and what techniques she will continue to use to monitor the flock in the future.

During this on farm event, Joe Angell, Wern Vets will discuss and provide tips on how to monitor the ewe after lambing and key steps to take in preparation for next year.
