Horticulture: Starting Dahlias from tubers or cuttings

Join Award-winning expert Robert Evans for this Dahlia training workshop at his Farm, Pheasant Acre plants.  

This workshop will take through the entire year-round process of establishing Dahlia’s within your flower farm, from growing, harvesting, propagating through cuttings, seeds and tubers, to winter storage.

There will also be opportunity to have a go at the techniques required to take cuttings.


  Key learning objectives:  

·        Compare the pros and cons of starting dahlias from tubers and cuttings 

·       Review the best conditions and techniques for growth

·       Identify feeding regimes to achieve optimum flowering

·        Plan growing on through the season and preparing for winter.
