Horticulture - Understanding Rural Enterprise Dwelling Planning Guidance for Small-Scale Horticulture

Overview

Cost: Free

Supported by the Future Farms partnership, Powys County Council recently brought out new guidance around rural enterprise dwellings for small-scale horticulture. Other LAs across Wales are also looking at their guidance and a recent Ministerial Statement makes the case to support the development of new horticulture businesses. But what does this mean for small-scale growers looking to live on their land? Hear from a small-scale horticulture enterprise that received permission for a rural enterprise dwelling 15 years ago, and what this has meant for their business.

Outcomes

  •             Understanding rural enterprise dwellings planning guidance
  •             Understanding of how to meet the tests for inclusion in a rural enterprise dwelling planning application
  •            Knowing when to submit a temporary rural enterprise dwelling application.
