Horticulture workshop: Cultivating your floral imagery

Overview

Cost: Free

Vince Jones of Whole picture will be leading a day long film and photography training workshop in Builth Wells, for Flower Growers in Wales. Vince is an expert commercial photographer from West Wales with over 20 years’ experience, including lecturing in film and photography.

Flower growers and sellers are required to create even more images and content to promote their work via social media and online stores. High quality images improve the likelihood that you will be seen and engaged with, potentially leading to increased following and sales. Vince will take you through some easy tools and techniques, and an analysis of slow and fast paced film content.

Topics to include:

  • Technical aspects of using your camera or phone, and basic editing
  • Creative techniques including strong compositions, natural light and dressing
  • Reels, Stories and moving images. Shooting and editing content to feed the algorithms
  • Planning seasonal themes and banks of images for online stores and social media, eg. Etsy, Instagram etc.

Please bring any flowers, backgrounds, or cloths that you would like to take film / images of.
