Innovate UK & CCAV – R&D event
The Welsh Government, CCAV, Innovate UK and KTN invite you to join an R&D event in Cardiff on the 27th of June.
Connected and Autonomous Vehicles come closer to a reality. The emergence of these vehicles offers exciting and potentially transformational opportunities. In the Industrial Strategy Challenge, 4 main themes have been identified by the Government as a focus for investments. Although one of the core areas of the “Future of Mobility” theme, CAVs have the potential of touching on all the areas identified (Clean Growth, The Aging Society, AI and Data).
To date, the UK Government has invested over £120m in over 70 collaborative R&D projects, with more than 200 organisations being involved in the CAV space. The projects thematic areas span from full MAs, public trials, connectivity, sensors, as well as modelling and simulations etc.
In this context, the R&D event will address some of the previously unexplored areas as well as build up on our strengths in order to maintain the UK at the forefront of this emerging industry.
Organisations that would like to be a part of the R&D event are invited to join the briefing event held in Cardiff on the 27th of June.
