Future Design – a Japanese model of thinking about the future*

We barely know it, but we are designing the future every day, with every decision we take. To make good decisions for multiple generations we need to bring the past, present and future in focus. We want to give you some time to do this. Time to be with others, to think about what matters most about the future and to start designing it with fresh perspectives.

This will be a hands-on workshop with a brief introduction, an address from the First Minister and plenty of space around the workshop for talking, learning from and experiencing different playful techniques for visioning the future.

‘Future Generations are not just abstract concepts. We are engaging in a dialogue with them every day of our lives by the choices we make now.’ Michael Sheen
