About Langton's Farm:

Located on the outskirts of Cardigan, Langton's Farm is a 28-ha farm.

As part of the Our Farms Network, the 2024 season will see the Langton's Farm trial upscaling their tomato production and extending the season to meet the demands of the public sector supply chain into schools.

The trial includes:

  • Identifying varieties of tomato that are fit for purpose for local public procurement
  • Trialing different planting dates to extend production into the Autumn
  • Creating a reliable supply of produce for wholesale distribution into Welsh schools
  • Exploring different growing methods to meet the food production standards

Langton's Farm is diversifying into a number of other horticulture ventures including field scale vegetable production and fruit orchards in addition to their current 4-acre market garden. Wider diversification options will be discussed as part of this event.

There will also be an opportunity to catch-up with industry stakeholders and wider project work on various stalls.

Refreshments will be provided following the farm walk.

Booking is not essential but encouraged for catering purposes.
