Please note – registration for this event is only available for new and existing food and drink manufacturers based in Wales, not for related organisations, consultants or students.
Prerequisites Workshop
The workshop covers the basic environmental and operating controls that are required for the manufacture of safe food and drink.
Workshop outline as follows:
• Hazard and prerequisite definitions
• Prerequisite programmes and legal requirements
• Types of prerequisite programmes
• How to implement and evidence prerequisite programmes
Please note that you will be sent a workbook prior to the workshop which you will need to partly complete before attending the event. Please bring your workbook with you to the workshop as there will be opportunities to take notes. At the end of the workshop, you can use the knowledge and information gained to create and implement a full set of prerequisite programmes required by your businesses as a foundation to ensure food and / or drink is manufactured under appropriate conditions.

Attendance costs
Depending on your company size and eligibility, attendance at these workshops can be partially or fully funded.
The cost for each delegate attending the workshop will vary depending on the size of the company they work for. This is determined by Welsh Government funding regulations.
In the workshop registration form, you will be asked to provide company Subsidy Control information for the past three years and confirm the size of your company. Please refer to your finance business team to ensure this information is accurate as it may be subject to audit.
