Seaweed supplement: Can it improve production whilst reducing ammonia emissions in dairy herds?

Cost: Free

Join us at South Astridge Farm, which is part of the Farming Connect Our Farms network to find out more about their journey of trialling a seaweed supplement to the diet of their 350 autumn block calving British Friesians.

William and Katy Fox at South Astridge Farm, supply First Milk through its regenerative farming programme and they are consequently keen on producing milk that is as environmentally friendly as possible.  In order to achieve this, they were keen to see what effect a seaweed supplement would have on the milk production and ammonia emissions from the herd.

During this on-farm event, there will be an opportunity to learn more about the results to date and also discuss South Astridge Farm's soil carbon stock levels in different fields across the farm under the Farming Connect Welsh Soil Project.

Booking is not essential but encouraged for catering purposes.
