‘Start to Farm’ Conference

An exciting new one-day event around innovation, inspiration and practical advice for entrepreneurs looking to start their own farming business.
‘ Start to Farm UK’ aims to bring together the farmers of the future from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to share ideas, best practice and innovation and is open to everyone looking to start a farm business irrespective of their background and age.
The day will comprise of inspirational keynote speakers/workshop leaders that you can view here.
You will need to choose 2 options from the following workshops to attend:
Workshop 1 - New entrant policy discussion
An opportunity for new entrants to bring their questions and ideas for supportive new entrant policies to a panel of policy makers and influencers
Workshop 2 - Using alternative business models to access land
A workshop on the key principles of joint ventures including business structures and legal frameworks with specialist solicitor Dr Nerys Llywelyn Jones
Workshop 3 - Essential tools for finance acquisition
Guidance on the essential tools needed when approaching a bank for finance including alternative financing models with agricultural bank manager Oliver McEntyre, Barclays
Are you interested in attending? Attendance is free of charge; however, limited spaces have been allocated to each of the four UK countries and places will be allocated on a first come first served and needs basis.
