Facing redundancy at Tata Steel UK and interested in starting your own business? Register for our in-person events at Community Hub, Aberavon on 8th May to get advice on self-employment, business start-ups and support with financial planning and grants.

 

What will the event cover?

During the sessions we will:

• Build awareness and understanding of self-employment as a future career path.

• Discuss the support available with Business Wales to develop your business skills and improve knowledge in preparation to start a business.

• Talk about how you can plan for your business, prepare financial forecasts and business plans.

• Meet with the team at Neath Port Talbot Council, to discuss the Start-up Grant available and review the criteria & guidance for applying.

• Inform you about the wider support available. Signposting to other resources from the wider Business Wales service, delivery partners, UK Steel Enterprise, and surrounding local authorities.

Following the session (on the day), business advisors will be on hand to discuss next steps and answer any questions you may have about the TSUK transition grants.
