Visit Our Farms - September 2025 - Parc y Dderwen

As part of Farming Connect's annual series of 22 on-farm events, Lauren and Phil Moore welcome you to the Farming Connect Our Farms Network open day at Parc y Dderwen, to see and hear more about the on-farm trials they are undertaking as part of the network.
During the farm visit, expert speakers will demonstrate and discuss the on-farm trials on-going at Parc y Dderwen and the following topics will be covered:
- diversification into perennial horticulture crops
- commercial seed saving
- brassica production for commercial fermented food business
Located in Llangolman, Pembrokeshire, Parc y Dderwen is a 5-ha farm running a number of a horticulture enterprises.
As part of the Our Farms network, Parc y Dderwen focuses on the following key areas:
- the Our Farms trial growing a range of edible and herbal perennial crops to explore new routes to market
- growing crops for commercial seed saving, for Welsh seeds businesses Real Seeds and Welsh Seed Hub
- sharing knowledge on brassica production for their existing fermented food business
There will be an opportunity to have conversations with familiar faces within the industry, see displays and stands relevant to the trials on the farm.
Dinner will be available following the farm tour.
Registration is not essential but we encourage you to do so for catering purposes.
