As part of Farming Connect's annual series of 22 on-farm events, Tudur Parry and the family welcome you to the Farming Connect Our Farms Network open day at Pengelli Isaf Farm, to see and hear more about the on-farm project they are undertaking as part of the network.

During the farm visit, expert speakers will demonstrate and discuss the on-farm project on-going at Pengelli Isaf and the following topics will be covered:

• Feasibility study into what renewable energy option is best for Pengelli Isaf's farm business with speaker Chris White from Dulas
• Why are Dark Skies important and what can we do? with speaker Lynfa Davies

About Pengelli Isaf

Located near Caernarfon, Pengelli Isaf is a 130 ha mixed farm. The dairy herd of 140 Holstein Friesian cows calve from September to March, but heavily weighted to the autumn. Cows produce an average of 8,500 litres per cow per annum and milk is sold to South Caernarfon Creameries on a constituent-based contract for producing cheese. All dairy replacement youngstock are reared on farm as well as some beef cattle. The farm keeps a flock of 300 crossbred ewes which lamb indoors in March whilst also growing some crops such as maize to feed the livestock in winter months

There will also be an opportunity to catch-up with industry stakeholders and see demonstrations of various technologies related to the project work on various stalls.

Lunch will be provided following the farm walk.
