Enterprise Northern Ireland

About Enterprise Northern Ireland

Since we were established in 2000 to represent the 32 Local Enterprise Agencies, through Enterprise Northern Ireland (ENI) we have worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs helping them set up their business in Northern Ireland, enabling them to grow and develop.  ENI helps local business on three levels:

Supporting

ENI represents the interests of local enterprise agencies and lobbies on behalf of small business. We ensure the Executive are fully briefed on business growth by enabling them to see progress at first hand.

Networking

ENI provides a range of services for members, including, continual professional development, networking events, joint purchasing, business development, policy papers, research and quality assurance. Working with and learning from other entrepreneurs is invaluable for a business start-up.

Delivering

ENI holds national contracts with various public sector organisations. The contracts are delivered primarily by the member agencies. Programmes include:

  • Regional Start (Go For It)
  • Social Entrepreneurship
  • Exploring Enterprise
  • Tradelinks programme
  • Business Boot Camp

Business Investment is fundamental in helping a business start-up in Northern Ireland. All of our programmes are supported by access to small business finance through the ENI Loan Fund and the Northern Ireland Small Business Loan Fund.
