Join us at the Newport Riverfront Studio Theatre on Thursday 9th May for a showcase of the award-winning Sound project, which has spent the last year working alongside young men across Wales to end violence against Women, Domestic Abuse, and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV).

The Welsh Government VAWDASV Strategy 2022-2026 set out a commitment to make early intervention and prevention a priority and to encourage those who may go on to commit abusive behaviour to change.

Focusing on early intervention, prevention, and discussions around healthy behaviours in relationships, the event will highlight Sound’s award-winning work and innovative approach to community engagement.

Doors at 6:30pm, with welcome drink and nibbles on arrival.

The evening will include the world premiere of the ‘Sound Lad’ documentary, created in association with It’s my Shout, alongside an exclusive Q&A with contributors, crew, and special Sound Squad guests.

Getting there:

• Public transport: There are direct and regular trains to Newport from all mainline locations – including London, the Valleys and Cardiff. The direct train from Cardiff is every 15 minutes, and the venue is a 10 minute walk from the station / 5 minutes in an Uber.
• Car parking: There is a paid NCP parking a 3 minute walk away.
